우정과 사랑, 그리고 욕망과 사랑의 경계선 위에 선 인간의 모순과 내적 갈등. 특히 그 과정에서 생겨나는 <욕망,갈증>, <억눌림,이해,인내>, <굴레,일시정지> 라는 공통적인 감정선을 3부작 영상으로 나누어 미장센을 통해 풀어 냈다.

友情と愛情、そして欲望と愛の境界線上に立っている人間の矛盾と内的葛藤、特にその過程で生まれる「欲望・渇き」「抑圧・理解・忍耐」「束縛・一時停止」という感情を三部作の映像に、ミジャンセンを用いて語っている。

'Friend Zone' is the main keyword developed for this project.
The definition of Friend Zone is "the act of constantly giving as much affection as possible between friends, but drawing a line and restricting beyond a certain point." The inherent ambiguity of this word inspired us deeply.
Friendship and love, and human contradiction and inner conflict on the border between desire and love. In particular, the emotions that arise from "Desire, Thirst", "Pressure, Understanding, Patience,", and "Bridle, Pause" were divided into three-part videos and solved through Mise-en-scene.

팀 소개
글 쓰는 류리지와 그림 그리는 최장용이 영상으로 만났다. 칭화대 미대 전시 동아리 R.O.A.D. 전시 <Half Moon> 참여 당시, 콜라보 작품을 하며 가까워졌다. 이외에도 책 삽화 작업, 사진과 글 작업 등 다년간 함께 예술적 영감을 공유하고 소소한 프로젝트를 진행해 왔다.
평소 비슷하지만 다른 관점을 가진 두 사람은 오랜 대화 끝에 깊이 공감하던 주제인 <거세당한 성욕>을 ‘욕망, 갈증‘, ‘억눌림, 이해, 인내‘, ‘굴레, 일시정지’ 총 3부작으로 나누어, 작업으로 승화시켜 보기로 했다.
척하면 척인 작업 파트너로, 함께 있을 때 200%의 시너지를 발휘한다. 영상이란 분야에 함께 새로이 도 전해 보며, 색다른 시도를 통해 예술 영역을 넓히고자 한다.
제 3부의 경우, 피아니스트 서다은이 곡 선정부터 연주까지 맡아, 한층 영상의 깊이를 더해주었다. 다시 한 번 그녀의 열정과 헌신에 무한한 감사를 표한다.

文を書くヤナギ・リズと絵を描くチェ・ジャンヨンの二人が、今回は映像というメディアに挑戦した。二人は、清華大学美術大学所属の展示部R.O.A.D.の展示「Half Moon」に、コラボ作品を出品したのがきっかけで、その縁を続けている。その後も本のイラスト、写真や創作の活動など、長い時間共にインスピレーションを共有し、様々なプロジェクトを進めて来た。
似ているようで異なる観点を持つ二人は、長い交流の末に、共感の話題である「巨勢された性欲」を、「欲望・渇き」「抑圧・理解・忍耐」「束縛・一時停止」の三部作出構成される作品として表現するという結論に至った。
二人は息ぴったりなパートナーであり、一緒にいる時に200％の力を発揮する。今回二人は、映像の分野に挑戦することで、自らの芸術的領域を拡張させようとしている。
About the Artists
LIZ RYU, a writer, and JANGYONG CHOI, a painter got together to create a film. We became close by collaborating with each other at our time at Tsinghua University’s Art department exhibition club’s R.O.A.D. exhibition <Half Moon>. We inspired each other artistically and carried out small projects together for many years, including book illustrations, photography, and writing.
We usually share the same opinion but have contrasting perspectives so after long discussions, we decided to sublimate the theme of "Castrated Lust" into three parts: "Desire, Thirst," "Pressure, Understanding, Patience," and "Bridle, Pause."
As great project partners, we exert 200% synergy when together. Through the medium of video, we want to expand our reach in art through new challenges.
In the case of the part three, a Pianist DAEUN SEO was in charge of all aspects of the music, from the selection of the pieces to the performance. She added even more depth to the video. I would like to express my gratitude once again for her passion and dedication.
